Youth Ambassador Program – Launching September 2023

This fall, Vivo will be launching a new Youth Ambassador Program, a free learning opportunity to foster young people’s confidence and competence to better prepare them for the evolution of Calgary’s workforce and securing employment. Vivo will develop participants’ mindset and leadership skills innovation across co-creation, creativity, relationship building, teamwork, evaluation, social perceptions, resilience, communications, problem solving, financial literacy diversity/inclusion and sustainability. Participants will acquire new connections and mentors at Vivo and through a network of community partners. Over 6-12 months participants will gain ‘hands-on experience’ growing and practicing their skills by co-designing, testing and refining activation programs at Vivo’s new Indoor Park.

Vivo is recruiting up to 40 participants over the next year from ages 15-29 from diverse genders, backgrounds and abilities.

Thanks to our generous partners RBC Foundation and the Government of Alberta for bringing this program to life.

Together, we’ll measure the impact of the program and participant’s increases in confidence and competence, ability to secure future employment at place like Vivo or in the community as well as encouraging others move and connect more in daily life.
