Place Matters: A North Calgary Project

Vivo and Parks Foundation are partnering on an initiative called Place Matters: A North Calgary Project.

Over the next nine months, we will be engaging the community through a series of conversations to listen and learn from the residents in North Central Calgary. We want to know the places and groups you feel included in and have strong connections to, what creates a prosperous community and what you value about your favorite neighbourhood places.

Insights from the community will help enhance current and future outdoor and public spaces.

We kicked off the project and our first engagement on October 15, 2022. The community was invited to:

  • Join one of two bus tours to network with other local community leaders and business owners and visit celebrated community sites in person to have a deeper conversation on vibrant and healthy communities.
  • Share their stories on where they feel most connected in community and learn about Vivo’s expansion coming in 2023 and share your wishes for future experiences, services and programs.
