Vivo proudly presents Community Classes, open to everyone through a donation of any amount to our Everybody Plays initiative! Held on the third Sunday of each month, this inclusive approach ensures that everyone can participate by contributing an amount of their choice.

February’s Community Class is set to take place on Sunday February 18, 2024 from  1:00 – 2:00 PM, featuring a Zumba Master Class!

Zumba is a high-energy group fitness class inspired by Latin dance that can burn upwards of 500 calories in a one-hour session! The word “Zumba” comes from a Colombian word that means to move fast and have fun, which is just how people describe the routine. Using upbeat Latin music together with cardiovascular exercise, Zumba is an optimal fitness choice, mixing cardio intervals with resistance training. Zumba mixes effective body sculpting movements with easy-to-follow, fun dance steps, incorporating several dance styles, including cumbia, merengue, salsa, reggaeton, mambo, rumba, flamenco, and calypso and Salsaton. The Latin music includes both fast and slow rhythms, allowing for a great cardio workout as well as body sculpting exercises. Depending on the instructor, you may even get a taste of belly dancing or hip-hop, too.
