CONTINUE TO FOLLOW HEALTHY HABITS

To align with the Alberta Health Services (AHS) guidelines, new safety measures are now in place for Vivo’s reopening along with prebooking for the fitness centre for all guests, limited capacity, and new experiences!

Please review our Visitor Safety Protocol prior to visiting Vivo. The health and safety of Vivo’s members, employees and visitors are a top priority. We are closely monitoring regular updates about COVID-19 and following guidelines from the Alberta Health Services (AHS) and the World Health Organization (WHO). The current situation in Alberta is here.

In-person facility experiences will roll out in stages starting July 6 with our Summer Experiences. Then on Monday, July 27, 2020, we introduce our new fitness ‘boutique’ zones and experiences for group fitness, cardio, weight lifting, strength training and small group training.  Vivo is taking direction from the Alberta health authorities to help prepare for your return to Vivo.

WHAT’S NEW?

MASKS

Effective August 1, 2020, the City of Calgary has a new bylaw requiring ‘All persons must wear a face-covering in indoor public premises and public vehicles.’ Vivo falls under the ‘indoor public’ premises definition, and we are required to have people wear a face covering for the duration of their visit UNLESS they are participating in fitness activities or meet the exceptions outlined in the bylaw.

We also understand that not everyone is going to be super excited about being mandated to wear a mask, so it’s critical to approach our customers with empathy. For example, some members may not know about the new bylaw, and others may not be able to wear a mask due to age, underlying medical conditions or disabilities.
