Don’t forget we are always open online at Virtual Vivo, in-person at the facility or in the community with the Vivo Play Project. You can use your credits towards programs or donate to our Everybody Plays by contacting guestservices@vivo.ca

All drop-in classes and to reserve time in areas at Vivo must now be pre-booked on the ‘mywellness app’.

We recognize everyone has special circumstances. Vivo offers an Everybody Plays Campaign with fee assistance services for our memberships with the City of Calgary. For fee assistance with memberships, please visit www.calgary.ca for information on the Fair Entry Program or contact us at guestservices@vivo.ca


  • Complete the 3 Step Checklist to access & use Vivo– before your visit, during your visit and after your visit.  
  • Practice physical distancing of 2 metres from all staff and other guests at all times. 
  • Masks are mandatory inside. 
  • Follow all directional signage. 
  • We have enhanced cleaning and will be closed from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm every day

  • Pre-book your spot for all drop-in activities through the “TechnoGym mywellness” app.
  • Experiences can pre-booked  up to 48 hours in advance OR up until the experience start time only if space is available.
  • The primary account holder will receive an email from Technogym with a link to activate their account.

Pre-book your Vivo experiences You can now book Family/Cohort Experiences.  If individuals on your family pass would like to book individual experiences.  Vivo will have to add them to your account. You will have to email the following information:

  • Full Name
  • Birthday
  • Gender
  • Membership Number
Parent or guardian will have to fill out a one-time waiver for everyone under the age of 18. Then you can prebook your spot for Vivo Experiences. Please note:  Drop-in gym and the fitness areas are for  ages 9+

  • For ages 16+ we require a government ID
  • Vivo staff will add you to our program system
  • We require all members of your party to be registered in our system and follow the healthy habit protocols. Forms are available online on your phone. 
  • Please arrive 15 mins prior to your drop-in time.

All persons must wear a face-covering in indoor public premises and public vehicles as per the City’s Bylaw. We are required to have people wear a face covering for the duration of their visit UNLESS they are participating in fitness activities or meet the exceptions outlined in the bylaw. Learn more about the bylaw  Vivo will have masks available for purchase in two locations:

  • At Guest Services for $2.38 + GST ($2.50)
  • In the vending machine outside of Aquatics should customers wish to purchase more.


Fitness Centre Monday to Friday- 5:30am to 1:00pm & 4:00pm to 10:00pm Closed for cleaning: 1:00pm to 4:00pm Saturday & Sunday- 7:00am to 7:00pm Holidays – Closed

Note-The pool closes 30 mins before the rest of the facility.


Park, scan your pass, drop-in and pay in the East Entrance to access the Arenas, Guest Services, Fitness Centre, Skate Doctor and Panther Sports Medicine and West Entrance to access the Country Hills Public Library, Guest Services, Jugo Juice, Pool, Gymnasiums, Climbing, School and Community Groups activities.

Public Swimming & Swim Lessons & Aquafit: Enter and exit the West entrance and let Guest Services know you have arrived for lessons.  

Public Skating, Skate Lessons & Shinny Hockey: Enter and exit the East Entrance and check-in at Guest Services located by the Fitness area entrance.

Fitness: Enter and exit the East Entrance to access the fitness centre or group fitness classes. 

Vivo Preschool and Child Care

Enter the West Entrance (Genstar Wing Door) and exit via (Play Lab/Child Care Doors). 

Rentals: Sports Groups and Community Bookings

The East Entrance will be the main entrance and exit for all arena rentals. The West Entrance will be the entrance and exit for all Gym, School and Community Group activities.  An email will be sent to all groups about designated meeting spot areas and protocols.

Northern Hills Community Association 

The office is not open to the public.  Remote work and community activities are happening. Visit nhca.ca for more information.

Panther Sports Medicine 

The East Entrance is the main entrance and exit for clients of Panther Sports Medicine.

Calgary Public Library

The West Entrance is the main entrance and exit for staff, volunteers and guests of Calgary Public Library.

Skate Doctor

Customers can visit Skate Doctor’s website www.skatedoc.ca to make arrangements for all services.


Washrooms are available inside the building. Additional cleaning and safety measures are in place to protect members, guests and staff.

Food and Drink

Touchless Water Bottle Fill Stations are available at the Arenas, Gymnasiums on the Pool Deck. Please bring your own water bottle.

Public Lockers are available only for Swimming. Guests are encouraged to come dressed to do their activity and to leave valuables and personal belongings at home.

ATM are temporarily unavailable.

What measures have Vivo put in place to create positive and healthy experiences?  

  • Online Pre-screen Health Assessment tool for people to complete prior to accessing the facility.
  • Enhanced cleaning and disinfection protocols for staff, spaces and experiences.
  • Additional hand sanitization stations in all areas of the facility.
  • Physical distancing measures including signage, floor decals and markings.
  • Directional and designated pathways to control the flow of people throughout the entire facility.
  • Reduced People Capacity at one time by using a Pre-Book Your Spot system.
  • Plexi-Glass barriers at Guest Services, Fitness and Climbing Desks.
  • Equipment Usage time limits.
  • Removal of difficult to clean and non-essential equipment.
  • Removal of lobby seating in all public areas.
  • Removal of fans.

Why is Vivo opening the building in stages and not all at one time?

We’re opening the facility in stages to be in accordance with local health orders, recalling staff and putting new protocols in place across for training, spaces, equipment and experiences so we can provide healthy and PLAYFUL experiences for you.

What are the protocols when I visit Vivo now?

We developed some new protocols around visiting Vivo to ensure you know what to expect and do before, during and after your visit. See above for instructions for access to Vivo.

How long can I put my current Vivo membership on hold?

We’re targeting re-activating all memberships by September 1, 2020 when full operations resume. We’re offering our members a 6-month hold option between to provide flexibility with people’s lifestyles. This hold option is available for members to take advantage of July 20-August 20, 2020. Anything after August 20, 2020 our regular policy of 3 months is in effect. If you choose to put your membership on hold, it would be from September 1, 2020 –February 1, 2021. On February 1, 2021 your membership would automatically re-activate. If you’re ready to come back sooner you can call, come in-person or email guestservices@vivo.ca to get your membership re-activated. Why do I have to prebook my spot for Vivo experiences?

Your experience is our top priority. We’ve added a ‘Pre-book Your Spot’ system to adhere to local health orders for capacity and physical distancing standards as well as provide a positive and engaging experience for you. During July and August, you’ll Pre-Book Your Spot for all online, indoor and in-person fitness classes as well as access to our new ‘Fitness Centre boutique zones’. Note- If you do not show up for your spot you will be contacted and further booking privileges for repeat behaviours in not showing up may be revoked.
