Complimentary Drop-in Access for Wildfire Evacuees

Our hearts go out to all of those affected by the Alberta wildfires. To help support, Vivo is offering those affected complimentary access to our community wellness hub.

We understand that being displaced from home has a significant impact on mental health and physical well-being. Vivo has a variety of resources to help everyone in the family maintain healthy living during this devestating time.

What We Offer:

  • Indoor Park: Escape the summer heat and poor air-quality, while enjoying Canada’s first-of-its-kind Indoor Park. Your children play in our nature-inspired facility designed for unstructured play. It’s a perfect space for them to run, explore, and have fun in a safe and healthy environment.
  • Aquatics Centre: Our reimagined Aquatics Centre is designed for all ages and abilities, offering a range of activities and amenities:
    • Accessible play pool for family fun
    • Lap lanes with a wheelchair ramp for inclusive swimming
    • Steam room and sauna for relaxation
    • Pool classroom for educational and therapeutic sessions
    • Thrilling rope swing, climbing wall, spray park, and lazy river for excitement and adventure
    • Hot tub for soothing relaxation
    • Poolside “fire” place with scenic views for a tranquil experience
  • Bouldering Wall: Our bouldering wall is open and safe for drop-in usage, offering a fun and challenging activity for all skill levels.
  • Arenas: Enjoy skating on our ice and inline skating rinks. Whether you’re a seasoned skater or just learning, our arenas provide a great way to stay active.
  • Group Fitness Classes: We offer a variety of group fitness classes for teens and adults, catering to various interests and fitness levels. From yoga to high-intensity interval training, there’s something for everyone.
  • Court Sports: Take advantage of our court sports offerings, including basketball, badminton, and more. It’s a great way to stay active and have fun with family and friends.
  • Community and Social Connection: At Vivo, you will be surrounded by our inclusive and wonderful community. This is a place where social connections thrive, and where you can feel a sense of belonging – All ages, genders and abilities are welcome. Whether you’re engaging in activities or simply spending time in our common areas, you’ll find support and camaraderie among like-minded individuals.
  • Calgary Public Library: Access to books for the family, resources, and quiet spaces for reading and relaxation, providing mental stimulation and a break from daily stress.

How to Access Our Facilities:

  1. Proof of Residency/ID: Please bring proof of residency or ID to verify your status as an evacuee.
  2. Check-in Process: Upon arrival, we will need 5-10 minutes of your time to create a new guest account at Guest Services.

We can help support you and your family through these tough times. Our facility provides not only a physical escape but also a community of warmth and support.
