Recharge your strength and confidence this fall with Vivo’s 10-week Power Up Challenge. All skill levels are welcome—even if you’ve never lifted a barbell before.

This is a competition of you vs. you, where success is measured by how far you’ve come, not how you compare to others. By focusing on self-improvement, this approach nurtures intrinsic motivation and encourages the development of a growth mindset. It ensures that participants of all experience levels have a fair and meaningful opportunity to succeed.

About Power Up

Our professional fitness trainers use encouragement to guide and support you through functional lifts, such as the Bench Press, Front Squat, Deadlift, and Back Squat. These essential exercises will help you build lasting, functional strength that enhances your life!

Choose to Power Up 1-on-1 with a fitness trainer or Power Up as a team. Find inner-strength in community with Vivo!

Member Pricing*

  • 1-on-1: $560 (20% off for members)
  • Group of 2-3: $350 per person
  • Group of 4: $210 per person

*Includes 2 additional InBody body composition scans (valued at $50 + GST). Members already receive 1 complimentary scan per year.

Non-Member Pricing*

  • 1-on-1: $630 (10% off for non-members)
  • Group of 2-3: $393.75 per person
  • Group of 4: $236.25 per person

How to Win

Participants will be evaluated based on their overall progress. We will use the pre- and post-test results from the front squat, back squat, deadlift, and bench press to assess overall cumulative improvement. This includes improvements in strength, technique, and consistency in the core lifts, as well as how well you’ve met your personal wellness goals.

These core lifts—Bench Press, Front Squat, Deadlift, and Back Squat—are fundamental movements that translate to everyday life. They help build functional strength, help increase bone density, and help reduce falls and injury, making daily tasks easier and improving overall well-being. We believe in creating an inclusive environment where everyone, regardless of their starting point, can celebrate their personal growth. Measuring success by competing only against yourself increases intrinsic motivation and personal development of a growth mindset. This method ensures that participants of all experience levels have a fair chance at winning.

Even seasoned lifters can benefit from this challenge. Our trainers will provide advanced techniques to help break through plateaus and achieve new personal bests.

Anyone aged 12+ is welcome to join! Please note that for participants between the ages of 12-17 this includes their teen assessment – giving them the confidence and ability to work out on their own at Vivo.

This approach allows for focused, dedicated instruction during each session. It also gives participants time to practice and refine their techniques independently, ensuring steady and meaningful progress.
