Facility Access Age Update

Posted: February 3, 2026

We are excited to let you know that as of today the minimum age to access Vivo independently is 10 years of age.

Read on to understand how this comes to life in every area of Vivo’s facility!

Accessing Vivo: Everyone is required to have a waiver completed by themselves (18+) or their guardian before entering the facility. The waiver can now be found online at vivo.ca/waiver making this process easier for you! As a guardian, you can fill out the waiver online and ahead of time so that everything is ready for your child to visit Vivo!

Fitness Safety Orientation: All youth 12-15 years of age are required to complete the Fitness Safety Orientation prior to using the area. This ensures youth know how to properly use the approved machines/areas for their age and that they understand the rules of the Fitness Centre. Fitness Safety Orientations can be done on a drop-in basis – please see our Fitness Team to complete the Fitness Safety Orientation.

Aquatics Impact: Youth 10+ are able to access the aquatics area independently.  Children 8-9 years old are required to have a guardian within the aquatics area at all times and children 7 years old and under are required to have a guardian in the pool, within arm’s reach of them at all times.

Drop-In Group Fitness: Youth 10+ may attend drop-in group fitness classes once they have completed the Fitness Safety Orientation and as long as they are with a guardian aged 16+.

If you have any questions, we are here to help! Our Guest Services Team can be reached by email at guestservices@vivo.ca, by phone at 403-532-1013 ext. 0, or in-person at either east or west desk!

We can’t wait to see you at Vivo again soon!
