Land Acknowledgement

Parking

Complimentary Parking

You’ll find free parking in both our East and West Lots.

Accessible Parking & Parent Parking

Vivo’s East and West Lots include accessible and parent parking. These spots are wider and located close to curb cuts and entrances for easier access to our facility.

Charging Stations

Need to charge your electric car? You’ll find charging stations in both our East and West Lots.

Transporation

Public Transit

We are located two blocks from the Calgary Transit North Pointe bus terminal. The 86, 114, 123, 124 and 142 bus routes will all drop you off within a block of Vivo.

Regional Pathways

You don’t need a car to get to Vivo! Our facility is easily accessible from Calgary’s regional pathway system, which helps our guests choose active travel as a part of their health journey.

Bike Racks

Bike racks are located at the east and west entrances. Bicycles cannot be left overnight.

General Age Requirements

All children under 10 years must be with a caregiver/parent aged 16 years or older at all times. Age requirements for specific facilities within Vivo may vary. See our policies page for details.

Inclusive Facilities

At Vivo, everyone is welcome. In addition to men’s and women’s washrooms throughout the facility, we also offer inclusive options to meet the needs of all guests.

Gender-Neutral Washrooms

You’ll find gender-neutral washrooms in the Indoor Park, Fitness Centre, and Aquatic Centre. These spaces are large and easy to use, with roll-under sinks, wide walkways, grab bars, and help buttons for added safety and comfort.

Universal Change Rooms

Our universal change rooms in the Fitness Centre, and Aquatic Centre offer private spaces for families, caregivers, and anyone who prefers a more inclusive option. Each room includes a private shower, space to move around, an adult-sized change table, and a lift for added support.

Breastfeeding

Vivo is a breastfeeding-friendly space. You’re welcome to nurse anywhere in the facility. If you prefer a quiet space, our Nursing Room is located in the gender-neutral washroom inside the Indoor Park. It includes a comfy chair, a sink, room for strollers, and a few toys to keep older children entertained.

Signage

Vivo’s wayfinding signs have high contrast, braille, and clear icons to help everyone find their way—no matter their language, reading level, or vision.

Transferring Between Floors

Guests can choose to use the ramp by Vivo’s West Entrance, or our two 6.75 ft x 5.45 ft elevators to easily go between floors of the facility.

Sensory Considerations

Sensory Time

During Sensory Time, select areas are adjusted to be calmer and more welcoming for those with sensory sensitivities. Each space runs at 50% of normal capacity to reduce noise and crowds. Music is turned down or off completely, and our lighting is dimmed or softened where possible.

Sensory Room

If our guests are overwhelmed, they can also take a break in our Sensory Room.

Sensory Backpacks

Vivo offers Sensory Backpacks for rent with a refundable $10 deposit. These backpacks are filled with helpful tools to support self-regulation.
