We continue to work closely with Alberta Health Services to continue to clarify the new public health orders and assess and figure out what things mean for Vivo in ‘real’ time. We are committed to sharing any updates of what is open and becomes available for you to access during this time.

    • East Entrance to access arenas and gymnasiums for sport groups, skating lessons and Panther Sports Medicine Clinic.
    • West Entrance to access preschool (LKAL), Schools, personal training, Northern Hills Community Association and the Calgary Public Library.

Masks are now mandatory in-person Vivo at all times to:

  • help prevent the transmission of COVID-19 cases and continue to be prevalent with the arrival of other disease variants
  • protect and ensure the safety of all of our employees, members, guests and partners
  • be a partner in supporting the community’s long-term health and well-being
  • be open, accessible and sustainable as a community asset in north-central Calgary

Note– Vivo employees have the right to invoke our Zero Tolerance Policy and ask you to leave the centre immediately or suspend your access to facility areas, programs and services for demonstrating poor behaviors or not following policies and protocols that have been put into place.

Vivo Play Project @ Play Hubs in the Community

We’ve made the decision this summer (May-August) to provide a majority of services online, outdoors and in the community, so we can do our best to support you and manage the ongoing and changing levels of local health restrictions.

 

We can’t wait to connect and play with you and your family during this summer and look forward to helping you live your best life this fall with potential indoor/in-person experiences!

Services that are ‘CANCELLED OR PAUSED’ immediately starting April 7, 2021:

  • All current Swim and Skate registered programs are cancelled. All participants will be notified directly and a pro-rated credit will be placed on your account to use a future date.  Email programs@vivo.ca for questions. 
  • Summer Program Registration for April 8 is now ‘paused’. Stay tuned for more details in May.  Email programs@vivo.ca for questions.
  • Pre-booking spots for unsupervised activities like fitness, badminton, basketball are cancelled and you will be notified directly. 

Outdoor social gatherings – Effective May 5

  • All outside social gatherings must be limited to no more than five people. This is a decrease from the previous 10-person limit.
  • Mandatory physical distancing must be maintained at all times between members of different households.
  • All indoor social gatherings are still prohibited.
  • Indoor fitness – Effective May 5
    •  All indoor fitness must close, including one-on-one training.

Sports, performance and recreation  – Effective at 11:59 pm on May 9

  • All outdoor sports and recreation are now prohibited except with members of your household or if living alone, two close contacts. This is a decrease from the current limit of 10 people.
    • This includes:
      • All group physical activities, such as team sports, fitness classes, training sessions
      • All one-on-one lessons and training activities
      • All practices, training and games
      • All indoor sport and recreation are prohibited, including youth sports.
      • All indoor performance activity is prohibited, including youth performances.
      • Professional sports organizations that have received an exemption can continue, provided protocols are strictly followed.
