Are you, or do you want to become, a “human swiss army knife” that can be dropped into the heart of north-central Calgary to create change through spontaneous play? We have an opportunity for you to roll up your sleeves to create meaningful connections and a real impact within the community.
You will be required to plan and implement different unstructured play opportunities at a variety of locations throughout north-central Calgary. Through these play opportunities, you will engage with children and families, but also observe and document your learnings to support on-going research regarding health outcomes, community co-creation, and best practices.
This is a hybrid public health and social innovation project all facilitated through unstructured play. We are looking for diverse skill sets for our team, story spinners, master builders, child whisperers, magic makers, creative cats and everyone in between, so show us what you got!

Operated by Nose Creek Sports and Recreation Association, Vivo is a charitable enterprise on a mission to raise healthier generations in Calgary and beyond. We want Canadians of all ages to achieve their optimal health at home, school, work and play. We’re creating local, evidence-based solutions to support individuals and whole communities be more active and connected by charting a course to make 10% shifts - shifts in people’s lifestyles, shifts in the care and design of communities and shifts in decision making at organizational and government levels.
Gen H is our movement to achieve this vision. It is a generation that you choose to be a part of rather than being born into. It’s a movement of striving to make progress on theirs and their community’s health. We are extending our reach beyond the walls of the regional recreation centre we operate to help Canadians achieve their optimal health wherever they choose to live, learn, work and play to join Gen H - a generation you choose to be part of versus born into it.
