The Province of Alberta through the Alberta Lottery Fund regularly supports the healthier generations mission through the Community Initiatives Program and facility enhancements through the Community Facility Enhancement Fund.




Through its Active Community Strategy program, the Alberta Recreation and Parks Association has assisted Vivo in increasing community engagement.




ATB Financial’s strong partnership with Vivo includes investment to create The Vivo Kids at our facility and in north-central Calgary elementary schools and financial wellness education for employees.



Developed by The City of Calgary, the regional recreation centre model meets the recreation needs of The City's rapidly growing suburban communities. In this partnership, The City provided the land and $28.75 million in capital resources to build the facility while Nose Creek Sports and Recreation Association assumes full responsibility for operating, program development, and future sustainability.


 

Calgary Foundation, through its community grants, has invested in Phase II and Phase III of Vivo's Child + Youth Action Research Project




Canadian Tire Jumpstart Charities provides funding to help kids aged 4-18 from financially disadvantaged families participate in sport and recreation activities at Vivo through the Everybody Plays – Fee Assistance Program.




Cenovus Energy provides generous funding support for Vivo's Healthy Living School. A site for the Calgary Board of Education’s Campus Calgary/Open Minds, the program aims to spark minds about strengthening communities and physical literacy.




Devon Canada’s donation through its Investing in People Grant is helping to create new volunteer curriculum resources at Vivo. These resources will ensure all of our volunteers receive training that is evidence-based and aligns with our cause and action research to date empowering them to inspire others to be more healthy and active.





Flames Foundation for Life provided a significant initial investment in the Child + Youth Action Research Project. This initiative aims to increase physical activity levels of children, youth and families in Calgary by establishing baseline fitness levels and creating new programs and services enabling us to track improvements over the next decade.




Jugo Juice contributes annually to the Everybody Plays – Fee Assistance program to ensure that healthy living is accessible to everyone in our community.


Lawson Foundation Logo 

As part of its Outdoor Play Strategy, The Lawson Foundation has provided funding to Vivo to expand its Play Ambassador activities outside into north-central Calgary.




Through the Amateur Sport Grant, the Parks Foundation, The Calgary Flames and The Saddledome Foundation have contributed over the life of Vivo to the renewal and enhancement of the fitness centre.



Mawer Investment Management’s annual support helps Vivo's Research and Innovation team get children, youth and their families to move more and sit less in north-central Calgary and beyond.




The RBC Learn to Play Project has invested in Phase III of the Child + Youth Action Research Project. Grants are funded by RBC and the Public Health Agency of Canada and delivered by ParticipACTION with support from Canadian Sport for Life.

Vivo will not provide notice to the writer of any stories submitted prior to re-producing or re-publishing the story in any print, online and video-based marketing materials. Vivo and/or Nose Creek Sports and Recreation Association reserves the right to use the entries in the future, indefinitely.

The author must provide an original story written by the author and will indemnify Vivo against any actions, proceedings, claims, demands or litigation brought against the Vivo for the use of the story. The author is the legal representative or has received a testimonial release for all names mentioned in the story.
